Bally’s Chicago Posts Record Revenue For May
Share This TagsThe Illinois Gaming Board’s latest data reveals that Bally’s Chicago has set a new benchmark for its operations, the temporary casino’s performance in May stands in stark contrast to the temporary decline it experienced in April.
The $11.7 million in adjusted gross receipts achieved by Bally’s Chicago in May represents a significant milestone, surpassing its previous records and is particularly noteworthy given the casino’s relatively short history, having opened its doors at Medinah Temple just last September.
Alongside the revenue figures, Bally’s Chicago also witnessed a rise in visitor admissions, with nearly 119,000 guests gracing the casino in May – a 5% increase from the previous month. This influx of visitors underscores the growing appeal of the temporary casino.
Within the broader context of the Illinois gaming industry, Bally’s Chicago has solidified its position as the second-highest in terms of admissions, trailing only the Rivers Casino Des Plaines.
One of the key drivers behind Bally’s Chicago’s success has been the growth of its loyalty program. According to Mark Wong, the vice president and general manager of Bally’s Chicago, the casino’s record-setting month can be attributed to the increasing membership in its loyalty program.
The long-term growth of Bally’s Chicago is intrinsically linked to the highly anticipated permanent casino complex that is in the works. This future facility, slated to be the largest in the state, will include a multitude of amenities, such as an exhibition hall, a 500-room hotel, a 3,000-seat theatre, 10 restaurants, and 4,000 gaming positions. The excitement and anticipation surrounding this ambitious project have undoubtedly contributed to the temporary casino’s recent success, as customers eagerly await the unveiling of the grand permanent location.
