Brazil’s online betting market has seen explosive growth since full regulation began on January 1, 2025.

Total visits to regulated sites reached 26.4 billion in 2025, a 237% year-on-year increase. With 71 million daily visits, the sector’s activity now rivals that of major search engines.

Financially, the industry generated approximately $7 billion (R$37 billion) in Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR), exceeding initial forecasts. Federal tax revenue neared R$1 billion, supplemented by R$250 million in license fees and regulatory inspection costs. The player base expanded to 25.2 million individuals, representing 11.8% of the population, with the 31-40 age group leading the demographic.

By the end of 2025, 79 licensed operators were active, led by international brands such as Betano and bet365. While these results are significant, the gray market still accounts for an estimated 50% of total activity, suggesting substantial room for future conversion. As localization strategies deepen, Brazil is poised to become a central hub in the global iGaming landscape by 2026.
