Midnight Mayhem Fight Night will officially take place during ICE Barcelona on 19 January 2027, bringing together 16 professionals from across the global gaming industry for a charity boxing event aimed at raising €150,000 for a range of charitable initiatives.

Organised by Behind The Gloves in partnership with ICE and WorldGaming, the event is affiliated with WBC Cares UK and will also feature a special demonstration by the WBC Adaptive Boxing Programme, highlighting inclusion and accessibility in the sport.

More Than a Boxing Event

For most participants, this will be their first experience stepping into a boxing ring. Before the event, all fighters will complete a five-month training programme focused on physical fitness, confidence, discipline, and personal development under professional coaching.

Each participant will be matched with an opponent of similar experience, while comprehensive medical supervision and safety measures will be in place throughout the programme.

Supporting Charitable Causes

The organisers hope to raise €150,000, with each participant and Impact Partner selecting a charity that holds personal significance.

Funds raised will be distributed across multiple charitable organisations under the supervision of an independent Charity Advisory Board to ensure transparency and fair allocation.

A portion of the proceeds will also support Behind The Gloves’ ongoing wellbeing initiatives, leadership programmes, and future community projects within the global gaming industry.

Promoting Inclusion Through Sport

The event will also feature the WBC Adaptive Boxing Programme, which provides wheelchair-based boxing training and encourages greater accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities.

The showcase aims to demonstrate how sport can create opportunities for people of different backgrounds and abilities while promoting diversity throughout the community.

Midnight Mayhem Fight Night reflects a growing trend of combining industry networking with community impact. Beyond competition inside the ring, the event highlights personal growth, teamwork, and charitable giving as important values shared across the gaming industry.

ICE Barcelona attendees will also have the opportunity to support participating fighters, contribute to their chosen charities, and take part in one of the industry’s largest charity initiatives.
