The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) is advancing a major update to its technical standards, aiming to modernise regulatory requirements and simplify compliance for industry operators and technology suppliers.
During its 7 October meeting, the board reviewed ten proposed technical standards covering various gaming equipment and systems, including interactive platforms, electronic equipment and related technologies.
The revisions include updates to existing standards and newly developed requirements designed to consolidate technical guidance that is currently spread across multiple regulatory documents.
By bringing these requirements into a clearer framework, regulators aim to reduce complexity, improve transparency and make technical compliance more efficient for licensed businesses.
The board plans to reopen the revised proposals for public feedback until 15 November 2026, while maintaining 1 October 2027 as the proposed implementation date.
The initiative reflects Nevada's continued efforts to modernise its regulatory environment while supporting technological development, operational efficiency and industry compliance.
